At Yaya’s Vanilla Beans, everything begins at home.

Based in Honolulu, Yaya's Vanilla Beans is rooted in home,family, and a love for thoughtful, everyday moments.

Yaya’s Vanilla Beans began in the middle of my everyday life.

I’m a wife, a mom of three, and a veteran, balancing a full-time career while still making space for the things I love most.

I’ve always loved working with my hands… whether that’s in the kitchen, in the garden, or starting something new just to see what it can become.

Somewhere in between all of that, I wanted to build something that felt like mine.

Why Vanilla

Vanilla has always been one of those quiet joys.

There’s something special about it. It’s the scent that lingers in the kitchen, the flavor that brings people together, and the detail that turns something ordinary into something memorable.

At some point, I started paying closer attention to where vanilla comes from, how different beans smell and taste, and how much variety there really is.

As a home baker, I began noticing how different vanilla beans could completely change the flavor of a recipe. Some warm and familiar, others bold, floral, or even slightly spiced. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a deeper appreciation for the craft behind vanilla and the unique character each origin brings.

That curiosity is what led to Yaya’s Vanilla Beans. Creating a way for others to experience those differences firsthand.

Why I Created Yaya’s Vanilla Beans

I didn’t want to keep that experience to myself.

I wanted to share it, especially with other families like mine.

The ones baking at home.

Trying new recipes.

Creating little moments that don’t seem big at the time, but end up meaning everything.

Yaya’s Vanilla Beans is my way of opening that door.
